Job assignments
Research in Harmonic Analysis, Operator Theory and applications in the Control Theory of infinite-dimensional systems. The chosen candidate is also expected to actively contribute to the Analysis seminar. Some teaching and supervision of bachelor’s and/or master’s students is also included in the position (up to 20% of full time).

Qualifications
The following qualifications are required:

  • PhD degree in mathematics
  • Postdoctoral work experience
  • Research experience at a high international level within Harmonic Analysis, Operator Theory and their applications in the control theory of infinite-dimensional systems, documented by publications in internationally leading journals in the area
  • Experience of teaching courses at basic or advanced level
  • Experience of examining bachelors’ or masters’ theses
  • Very good oral and written proficiency in English

In addition, experience of organizing research seminars and conferences is a merit. Documented ability to attract external funding is a strong merit.

Consideration will also be given to good collaborative skills, drive and independence, and how the applicant’s experience and skills complement and strengthen ongoing research within the department, and how they stand to contribute to its future development.

Type of employment
Full-time, fixed-term employment maximum for 2 years.
