The Research Group
At the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Glycobiology (MIG), basic research is conducted in microbiology, immunology and glycobiology, as well as bridging research with clinical focus. Within the department is the research group Cancer Infection where we work on a new drug discovery that you can follow from molecular mechanisms and animal models to clinical trials. The lab has an international work environment and offers great opportunities to develop a scientific career. The group is led by senior professor Catharina Svanborg and professor Gabriela Godaly and consists of scientists and technical staff. The laboratory is located at the Biomedical Center in Lund. The research group is looking for an associate researcher to join our team. The employment is a permanent, part time position (25%), with the desired access date on September 1, 2021, or according to agreement.
Work duties and area of expertise
Focus on experimental studies using cell biology, and infection biology techniques, molecular techniques and omics technology. The candidate will work individually and in a team and proactively test project relevant ideas. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior group members.
