The position as a researcher is associated with the research program “Civil Society Elites? Comparing elite composition, reproduction, integration and contestation in European civil societies”. Professor Håkan Johansson acts as the PI of the program and the project brings together scholars from political sciences, sociology and social work with a common interest in civil society and elite studies. The program aims to bridge elite and civil society studies in order to develop the first systematic and cross-country comparative analysis of civil society elites. Research tasks
The researcher is to participate in the program’s analysis and data collection on civil society elite integration.
Formal requirements
You have a PhD degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. sociology, political science or social work, or others with relevance for the program) and proven theoretical and methodological competences, experiences and skills in the areas of civil society and/or elite studies. You have experience of researching political and/or business elites. You have proven experience and skills of working in international research projects and have competence into the study EU and civil society. You have experience of collaboration in international and multi-disciplinary research teams. You have to have proficiency of writing in English. Knowledge of Swedish and/or a Scandinavian language is an advantage.
