The Division of Mathematics LTH and Numerical analysis is seeking candidates for a researcher position within dynamical systems. Particular emphasis will be made on the field of complex dynamics for dynamical systems. Here, complex dynamics refers foremost to transcendental dynamics or dynamics of rational maps.

Work duties

  • Research within complex dynamics.
  • Supervision of degree projects and doctoral students.
  • Actively seeking external research funding.
  • Administration related to the work duties listed above.

Qualification requirements

 Applicants must have:

  • A PhD within mathematics.
  • Very good oral and written proficiency in English.
  • Very good knowledge of dynamical systems, especially transcendental dynamics.
  • Publications of high international quality in subject relevant journals, e.g., Ergod. Th. Dynam. Sys., Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. and Discrete Contin. Dyn. Syst.
  • Experience of research that is in line with the current research conducted by the Dynamical systems group at the Centre for Mathematical Sciences.

Assessment criteria and other qualifications

  • Documented research qualifications and potential as researcher.
  • Good collaborative skills, drive and independence.
  • International experience of collaborating with researchers in the fields of transcendental dynamics and dynamics of rational maps.

Terms of employment
