The Division of Risk Management and Societal Safety, at the Department of Building and Environmental Technology, carries out research and education in the area of risk and crisis management with a societal focus. We are appointing a project assistant who can be part of a project financed and involving the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency.

Work duties
Work is performed in an international capacity development project that is led by Swedish authorities where a range of partner countries are involved, including Spanish speaking countries. Work duties correspond to collect and analyse qualitative data, including interview data with Spanish speaking persons, concerning the project performance and impacts. In addition, work duties involve reporting results from these studies to the benefit of the project – e.g. to create learning between partner countries.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Economy, Sustainability and/or Environment in an international perspective.
  • Very good knowledge in English, oral, in written, and reading.
  • Very good knowledge in Spanish, oral, in written, and reading.
  • Experience in using qualitative methods in the context of international capacity development projects.
  • Good abilities to use software for text processing (e.g. Microsoft Word).

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability where we require good collaborative skills, drive and independence.

Other merits:
Experience of international capacity development projects, and good abilities to use Nvivo or similar qualitative method software is a merit.

Terms of employment
Fixed-term employment, 1 October 2021 – 30 June 2022, 40 %
