The department of Biomedical Engineering at Lund University, Faculty of Engineering, invites applications for a position as Associate Senior Lecturer in Industrial Automation specialising in modelling and digitailisation of urban wastewater systems.

Subject
Industrial Automation specialising in modelling and digitailisation of urban wastewater systems.

Subject description

This development will continue in the future and creates the basis for the research direction of this position. Common applications are for example: development of new process models, control strategies and optimization of sub-processes or complete urban wastewater systems, energy optimization, energy recovery, resource recovery, describing-simulating-evaluating future scenarios for wastewater treatment plants and systems. Digitalization of the wastewater industry is another focus area for this position, developing applications based on digital twins, machine learning and other AI related methods.
