Subject description
Covalent organic frameworks (COF) are considered as promising building blocks for the application in photocatalysts and optoelectronic devices. The subject of this position is to develop novel COF materials embedded with photoactive or photocatalytic ative units and characterize their photophysics especially excited state dynamic behavior as reference for the further device application.
Work duties
Detailed work duties include:
- Materials synthesis and structural characterization.
- Photophysical studies using ultrafast spectroscopy.
- Supervision of degree projects and doctoral students.
- Actively seeking external research funding.
Qualification requirements
- A PhD or equivalent research qualification within the subject of chemistry.
- Very good oral and written proficiency in English.
- Experience in inorganic-organic synthesis.
- Experience in materials characterization.
- Experience in ultrafast spectroscopy such as transient absorption and transient IR. spectroscopy study in organic molecular system.
Assessment criteria and other qualifications
Previous research experience on COF and COF hybrid materials will be considered as merits.
Terms of employment
Fixed-term employment, one year (100% employment), 2022-03-01—2023-02-28.
