About the research group
The multidisciplinary and well-funded Riesbeck Research Group, Faculty of Medicine at Lund University is recruiting an postdoc. The Riesbeck lab is located at Department of Translatioanl Medicine in Malmö. The research is described here; http://research.med.lu.se/kristian-riesbeck

Employment
Temporary employment as an postdoc under a two-year period, start 2022-02-01.

Task
Independently conduct projects, do literature searches (analysis of the surrounding world), plan experiments and then experiment. Supervision of students is also included in the tasks.

Qualification requirements
Appointment to a post-doctoral position requires that the applicant has a PhD, or an international degree deemed equivalent to a PhD, within the subject of the position, completed no more than three years before the last date for applications. Under special circumstances, the doctoral degree can have been completed earlier.

Other qualifications
PhD, 2 years of post-doc, experience in molecular microbiology or similar areas. Documented skills within the fields of biochemistry, transcriptional regulation, transcriptional regulation factors and cellular biology with focus upon Gram-negative bacteria.

The personality is very important since we are building a new team. You should be accurate in your work tasks, and have documented experience of supervision of MSc students or equivalents.

The Department of Translational Medicine is one of the six departments at the Faculty of Medicine, Lund University. We conduct basic science in a laboratory setting, point-of-care and clinical research as well as carry out epidemiological studies.
