About the research group
The multidisciplinary and well-funded Riesbeck Research Group, Faculty of Medicine at Lund University is recruiting an assistant researcher. The Riesbeck lab is located at Department of Translatioanl Medicine in Malmö. The research is described here; http://research.med.lu.se/kristian-riesbeck

Employment
Temporary employment during the period 220301 until 240228. (100 %).

Work tasks
Independently conduct projects, do literature searches (analysis of the surrounding world), plan experiments and then experiment. Supervision of students is also included in the tasks.

Qualifications

PhD
2 years of post-doc experience in microbiology or similar areas.
Documented skills within the fields of complement regulation and antimicrobial therapy.
The applicant needs to have expertise in host/ pathogen interactions, and also experience of wound healing assays and antimicrobial peptides. Furthermore, it is importat that you have experience in flow cytometry, biochemistry and cell biology.

The personality is very important since we are building a new team. You should be accurate in your work tasks, and have documented experience of supervision of MSc students or equivalents.

The Department of Translational Medicine is one of the six departments at the Faculty of Medicine, Lund University. We conduct basic science in a laboratory setting, point-of-care and clinical research as well as carry out epidemiological studies.
