Description of the workplace 
The Division of Water Resources Engineering at the Department of Building and Environmental Technology at the Faculty of Engineering (LTH) conducts research, teaching and innovation with a focus on water in both society and nature.

Work duties
We are looking for a research project coordinator who can coordinate research planning and project management of larger research projects funded by Interreg, H2020, Horizon Europe and other national and international  projects at the division.

The tasks include among other things:

  • Manage research application for larger research projects where Water Resources Engineering and other divisions of the department are involved.
  • Manage granted larger research project’s deliverables and timelines, and ensure coordination among partners for timely delivery.
  • Ensuring completion of project’s documentations, keeping the updated and correctly filed.
  • Ensuring communication between the partners of the project and associated members.
  • Organizing project meetings and development of project reports.
  • Participate in the co-ordination of activities with external stakeholders

Required qualifications for the position are:

  • MSc in project management, business management or innovation management or similar.
  • Documented Project Management training.
  • Very good oral and written English skills.
  • Experience in H2020 research project management and knowledge of the financial aspects of H2020 projects.
  • Relationship building skills and experience of cooperation in diverse, international environment.
  • Experience to summarize meeting reports and a good ability to prioritize to ensure the delivery of reports in due course.
  • Understanding of the EU’s research and innovation framework and associated procedures.
  • Experience in/Understanding of internal EC’s reporting procedures including Technical and Financial reporting.

Additional qualifications for the position are:

  • Project management certification.
  • Experience in H2020/Europe dedicated IT environment (Participant Portal, other EC services).
  • Good knowledge within one or more of other commonlly used languages in Europe, e.g. German, French or Spanish.
  • Documented experience of writing, applying and obtaining research grants.
  • Experience about IP management concerns, gender balance and ethical issues.
  • Knowledge of EU’s strategic directives and programmes (i.e., EU’s Green Deal, Water Framework Directive)
