Lund University announces a position as substitute lecturer (adjunct) in Economic History. The positionis for six months, starting 1st of January 2022 at the department of Economic History, Lund University School of Economics and Management. The employment is 35 percent of full time.
The subject area is Economic History.
The position consists of both teaching and research. Administrative tasks can also be included. Teaching can be at the undergraduate and graduate level and will have an emphasis on financial and business history. The teaching will primarily be held in English.
To be employed the applicant must have both pedagogical skills, a degree at the advanced level or the equivalent and has other skills that are important with regard to the subject of economic history and the other tasks included in the employment.
The School of Economics and Management aims at a balance between research and teaching. Equal importance will therefore be given to scholarly and pedagogical skills when assessing the applicants. Administrative competence is also taken into account.
In the overall assessment of scholarly skills special weight will be given to applicant with a doctorate in economic history, publications in peer-reviewed journals and in publishing houses with an international peer-review system. Special weight will also be given to experience from international collaboration and participation in research networks. Moreover, the ability to collaborate with the surrounding society andto inform about research will be assessed.
Pedagogical qualifications include training in teaching and learning in higher education, pedagogical experience and pedagogical skills. Experience of teaching and course development in financial and business history is a merit.
Very good oral and written proficiency in English as well as good oral and written proficiency in Swedish are both requirements.
Consideration will be given to how the applicant's skills and experience can strengthen and supplement the existing research and teaching activities within the Department.
