Work duties

The employment includes research and development in current and next generation magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) via graph signal processing for novel characterization of the human brain structure and function.

Detailed description of work duties, such as:

  • Plan and carry out research in the relevant area.
  • Supervision of degree workers and doctoral students.
  • Work on applying for external research funding.
  • Collaboration with international research partners.
  • Administration related to the work duties listed above

Qualification requirements

Applicants must have:

  • A PhD or equivalent research qualification within the subject of the position.
  • Performed post doctoral studies in the field of medical image analysis.
  • Very good knowledge of multi-modal human brain MRI.
  • Very good knowledge of signal processing and graph signal processing.
  • Very good knowledge and skills of image processing in human brain MRI.
  • Very good oral and written proficiency in English.

Assessment criteria and other qualifications

  • Experience of interdisciplinary and international collaborations.

Consideration will also be given to good collaborative skills, drive and independence, and how the applicant’s experience and skills complement and strengthen ongoing research within the department, and how they stand to contribute to the future development of the biomedical signal processing field.

Terms of employment

Fixed term employment, 10%, 12 months.
