The graduate school Society, Theology, and Church is a joint responsibility of Lund University and Uppsala University, in cooperation with the Church of Sweden. The doctoral students are admitted in existing subjects at one of the universities, but they are expected to participate actively in the activities of the graduate school.

The graduate school focuses on contemporary theological and religious questions, historically and in present time. It consists of three different themes:

1) Practice-based Theology – this theme focuses on church practice, religious agency, and strategic theological research.

2) Nature, Humans, and Faith – this theme focuses on faith/religion and questions of ecology, climate change, and technical development.

3) Religious Dialogue and Theology of Religions – this theme focuses on the interaction between different religious traditions, groups, and individuals, locally and globally.

Please note that one of the three positions advertised here is reserved for questions of the interaction between Church and non-Christian faith traditions, groups, and individuals in history and in the present. This focus can be developed within any of the three themes mentioned above.

The three positions within the framework of the graduate school Society, Theology and Church, which are now being advertised at Lund University, are financed through funds from the Birgit and Sven Håkan Ohlsson Foundation, Lund Missionary Society, and Church of Sweden.

The positions can be applied for within one of the following subjects:
