Researchgroup
The Epidemiology Research Group at Occupational and Environmental Medicine investigates how the external environment affects human health. Our research combines data collection in the field with data from national population registers. A specific focus area is health effects in pregnant women and children after exposure to the environmental contaminant PFAS. The research group is expanding and we are now looking for a postdoc with epidemiologic profile and good insights into environmental toxicity to join our team.
We are keen to safeguard a good work environment that allows for open discussions and where we care for each other’s well-being. We engage in equality work and consider differences to enrich our work place.

Work duties
The main task is to conduct independent research within the framework of ongoing research projects concerning reproductive and immunologic effects after high PFAS exposure. The research uses data from both the Ronneby mother-child cohort and national registers.

The work primarily involves managing large datasets, performing statistical analyses and writing scientific publications. Research communication to concerned authorities and the public is also included. We expect the postdoc to contribute to the research group’s development within the research area, for instance through initiation of new research projects and writing of grant applications. Teaching may be included to a limited extent.

Qualification requirements
Appointment to a post-doctoral position requires that the applicant has a PhD, or an international degree deemed equivalent to a PhD, within the subject of the position, completed no more than three years before approvement of employment decision. Under special circumstances, the doctoral degree can have been completed earlier.
