Assessment criteria

For appointments to senior lecturer, equal attention will be given to the assessment of research and teaching expertise.

Documented experience of participation in research grant applications and demonstrated good results from their ability to obtain external research funding is of merit. Publication in respected journals is desirable. In the assessment of research expertise, it is primarily the quality of the research that will be taken into account. Special consideration will be given to the scope of the research, particularly in terms of its depth and breadth. When it comes to teaching expertise, special emphasis is placed on well-documented teaching qualifications and experience of course development, for example in the area of tourism and hospitality.

Teaching and research experience in interdisciplinary environments is welcomed. Being able to provide documented experience of contributing to the development of interdisciplinary environments is highly valued.

The Department of Service Management and Service Studies is a relatively young department (20 years old), which offers interdisciplinary teaching and research. Both collegial interaction and individual contribution are of great importance. We therefore pay particular attention to good cooperation skills and the ability to show initiative as well as how the applicant would complement and contribute to the different tasks of the department with their experience and expertise.
