The department of Food Technology at Lund University, Faculty of Engineering invites applications for a position as Professor in Food Technology .
Food technology has a long tradition at Lund University and the research conducted has been pioneering in many areas, as for example lipids and starch in food. At the Department of Food Technology, Engineering and Nutrition we work closely together between different disciplines of food science, which makes it possible to link how food structures are affected and formed in different production processes and then link this to the food's impact on human health. The department has both a pilot hall and a human lab to study effect of food on human health. In Lund there is within a few years access both to one of the world's most brilliant synchrotron facilities and one of the most powerful neutron sources (MaxIV and ESS). The department works closely with these facilities and a strategic development area is to use synchrotron and neutron research for characterization of food.
