The Department of Human Geography, Lund University, is looking to recruit 1-2 project assistants to work on topic “Innovation in Africa”. This is an emerging area of research at the Department, combining literatures and frameworks from development geography and economic geography.
We are looking for project assistants to support the launch of this area of research. Activities include carrying out scholarly literature searches, identification of scholarly communities working on related themes, and the compilation of an inventory of bottom-up examples of innovation in different sectors on the African continent. There will be regular in-person meetings with the research team.
We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated research experience (min Bachelor degree, preferably Master’s degree) and are enthusiastic about research, can work independently and systematically, and who take initiative and contribute to the team. We also consider it an asset if you have some familiarity with development geography and/or innovation in the African context.
Duration: min 6 months, min. 50%
