Work duties

The position focuses on the applications of geodetic surveying technology, GNSS, and photogrammetry, for the fields of building and construction engineering and land surveying.

The tasks mainly include:

  • Participation in teaching in the department courses in geodetic surveying technology, geodesy, GNSS and photogrammetry.
  • Support with education and research administration.
  • Partial responsibility for fieldwork and laboratory exercises in the course given for land surveying, road and traffic, and building and construction programs, respectively.

Qualifications

Required qualifications for the position are:

  • Master's degree in land surveying engineering or geomatics.
  • Previous experience and knowledge in GNSS, photogrammetry, satellite remote sensing, cartography, GIS, and geodetic surveying. Competences:
  • Good knowledge in mathematics and geometric properties of geodata
  • Knowledge in practical application of geodetic software (ESRI, ArcMap)
  • Basic programming skills (Matlab, R)
  • The applicant must be familiar with various measurement methods and instruments used in land surveying.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both oral and written. Teaching and course literature is in English and Swedish.

Additional qualifications for the position are:

  • The applicant must be flexible and able to quickly get involved in various teaching elements that take place in Lund and Helsingborg.
  • Driving license
  • Drone license

Further information The position is a fixed-term position of one year at 40 % and starting in April or according to agreement.
