Description of the workplace
The research group (https://www.multipark.lu.se/medial-temporal-lab) centers on aging and neurodegenerative diseases. We aim to gain a better understanding of underlying disease mechanisms and aid in the development of better biomarkers for disease progression and clinical trials.

The research group is part of the larger Clinical memory research and the BioFINDER study group which conducts world-leading research in Alzheimer’s disease.

Work duties and areas of responsibility
The research assistant will perform various tasks related to brain image analysis, including:

  1. The quality assessment of neuroimaging data
  2. The manual delineating of brain regions of interest
  3. Data organization

Qualifications
The requirements for the position are: 
-  Enrollment in a study programme in the field of psychology, cognitive neuroscience or comparable course of studies.
- Strong interest in cognitive neuroscience, human memory, Alzheimer’s disease and methods (data organisation, data analysis and statistics).
- Very good knowledge of English, both orally and in writing.
- That you are detail-oriented and accurate.
- That you have the ability to work independently.

Additional qualifications for the position are: 
- If you are a Master student in a study programme in the field of psychology, cognitive neuroscience or comparable course of studies.
-  Knowledge in human medial temporal lobe anatomy and experience in manual segmentation of its human medial temporal lobe anatomical subregions.
-   That you have patience in your daily work and a good ability to work together.


Further information 

The position is a temporary employment at 20 % preferably starting on 2022-04-01 or by agreement.
