Associate Researcher within translational cancer research - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

Work duties
The Associate Researcher we are looking for will perform breast cancer studies using advanced mouse models and human research preparations to investigate the interactions between malignant cells and their micro-environment. Mechanisms for how the micro-environment shapes the tumor's propensity to metastasize to various organs will be investigated. Other common laboratory work tasks will also be performed within this role.

Qualifications
The applicant must hold a PhD degree within a relevant subject area, or equivalent international qualification. Furthermore, the applicant must have

• necessary formal training to carry out animal studies
• through publications documented experience from work with genetically modified mouse models for cancer,
• experience from studies of paracrine interactions with various cell types in the tumor microenvironment.

Otherwise, we seek you who have documented knowledge in oral and written communication in English. In connection with selection, particular emphasis will be placed on relevant competence (see above), academic qualifications, international experience, initiative power, communication skills and personal suitability.

Terms of Employment
Temporary position fulltime for a minimum of 1 year and at most for 17 months with start from 2022-04-04 or according to agreement.
