The Department of Service Management and Service Studies is now looking for a student worker (administrative assistant).

Duties

Your duties are to plan, coordinate and carry out activities for Master’s students together with the
department’s communications officer and Master’s coordinator. Your main duties are to organise events, functions and other activities that aim to communicate and market our programmes as well as motivate and engage the students in their programme. You will also work with our instagram account. Other administrative assignments may be involved.

As a student worker you become an important link between the department and the students and can contribute the students’ perspective to our communication and our work on the Master’s programme. You will also become an ambassador for our programmes and help to spread a positive image of studying with us.

The position is 20% of full-time and you work one day per week at the department.

Qualifications

To be considered for the position of student worker you must be:

  • Admitted for second cycle education at the Departement of Service Management and Service Studies.

Desired/additional qualifications:

  • Experience of similar administrative duties.
  • Experience of working on events or projects.
  • Experience of working with social media.

The duties involve a considerable requirement for working independently. It is important that you are outgoing, service-minded and curious to learn new things. You are willing to take responsibility and have a strong feeling for cooperation. As the greater part of your work involves communication with international students, very good proficiency in English, orally and in writing, is required.

Other information

The position is 20 % of full-time for a temporary employment until June 2023. You work one day per week at the department. The desired start date is in August 2022 or by agreement.
