Description of the workplace
The research group (https://www.multipark.lu.se/medial-temporal-lab) centers on aging and neurodegenerative diseases. We aim to gain a better understanding of underlying disease mechanisms and aid in the development of better biomarkers for disease progression and clinical trials.The research group is part of the larger Clinical memory research and the BioFINDER study group which conducts world-leading research in Alzheimer’s disease.
In addition, there will be a close collaboration with the international Hippocampal Subfields Group (www.hippocampalsubfields.com) as part of this project.

Work duties and areas of responsibility
The research assistant will perform various tasks related to this harmonization project, including:

1. The manual delineating of brain regions of interest
2. Attend meetings and write minutes
3. Project management and the organization of international meetings

Other tasks within the project may also occur.

Qualifications

The requirements for the position are:
- Enrollment in a study programme in the field of psychology, cognitive neuroscience or comparable course of studies.
- Strong interest in cognitive neuroscience, human memory and Alzheimer’s disease
- Very good knowledge of English, both orally and in writing.
- That you are organized, detail-oriented and accurate.
- That you have the ability to work independently.
- Good ability to work together

Additional qualifications for the position are:
- If you are a Master student in a study programme in the field of psychology, cognitive neuroscience or comparable course of studies.
- Knowledge of the anatomy of the human medial temporal lobe and experience in manual segmentation of its anatomical subregions.
- That you have patience.

Further information
The position is a temporary employment of 1 year at 50 % preferably starting on 2022-08-01 or by agreement.
