Description of the workplace
Marcus Järås research team at the Department of Laboratory medicine within the Faculty of Medicine currently conducts research in acute myeloid leukemia and is at the forefront of its field. At present, the research team is working on the project GLUT1 and CD71. The group is international and comprises research, administration and technical staff. We are now looking for a Laboratory engineer to drive this project. Work duties and areas of responsibility
The research assignment consists in you independently conducting an analysis of GLUT and CD71, under the leadership of the project manager. The analysis includes CRISPR and leukemic stem cells. The work duties also comprise animal work. You will also publish articles in research journals, contribute to conferences and assist in the other work duties that the above-mentioned research project entails.

Qualifications
The requirements for the position are:

  • Experience in research of GLUT1
  • Experience in research of CD71
  • Experience in global gene expression analysis using Qlucore
  •  Experience in working with CRISPR
  • Experience in animal work
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English
  • Good analytical ability, drive and a good ability to collaborate

Additional qualifications for the position are:

- Previous experience of research in similar projects

The employment is for a fixed term of 6 months of full time, to start Aug 30, 2022 or according to agreement.
