The International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE) at Lund University was founded in 1994 and has since developed genuine interdisciplinary education and research with focus on strategies for sustainable development. The Institute facilitates a great number of external research and development projects as well as two international master programs. Work duties

The research assistant will work within two research projects related to sustainable consumption and sustainable business models, “1.5o-Degree Lifestyles” (EU) and Quest (Swedish Environmental Protection Agency) respectively. The applicant will work in interdisciplinary and multicultural research groups consisting of 4 researchers: one post-doctoral fellow, two senior researchers and one professor. The applicant will, within the frame of the employment, be responsible for administrative/coordinative and technical/analytical tasks.

The work duties include:

Review literature to support system analysis (e.g. business ecosystem); here, the research team uses tools for qualitative content analysis (e.g. NVivo or similar) and causal loop diagrams (CLDs) for mapping actor interactions and enabling and constraining factors for sustainable business models. Conduct semi-structured interviews following an interview guide and transcribe them (software assisted) Support project administration, organizing events, transcribing interviews, compiling research notes, authoring popular science communication, and translation between Swedish and English

Qualifications

  • A master’s degree and/or experience with research administration
  • Knowledge of sustainable business models or sustainable consumption
  • Experience with qualitative methods for data collection and data analysis
  • Very good oral and written proficiency in English and Swedish

Meritorious:

  • Demonstrated ability to write academically
  • Demonstrated ability to structure, organise and prioritize the work in an effective way

Additional information

Interviews will be held in August. The period of employment is expected to last 1 year with start September 12th or according to agreement.
