Lund University, Faculty of Social Sciences ,

Lund University was founded in 1666 and is repeatedly ranked among the world’s top universities. The University has around 47 000 students and more than 8 800 staff based in Lund, Helsingborg and Malmö. We are united in our efforts to understand, explain and improve our world and the human condition.

Lund University welcomes applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences. We regard gender equality and diversity as a strength and an asset.

The department conducts research on tourism, place, and mobility and the intersection between these fields from several perspectives. We wish to strengthen this profile and welcome high-quality applications with a social science perspective on services in relation to tourism, place, and mobility. We particularly welcome research ambitions that relate tourism to wider societal developments and current discussions on sustainability, resilience, and/or digitalization. Focus could be on regenerative and responsible tourism, urban and/or rural developments, tourism employment and service work, tourism entrepreneurship, tourist experiences, or hospitality. It is also possible to propose other research themes of relevance to service studies in tourism, place, and mobility.
