Description of the workplace
Skissernas Museum – Museum of Artistic Process and Public Art at Lund University is a dynamic and creative place where artistic process and art in public spaces are at the center. Here you find the world's foremost collection of sketches and preparatory work for public art. Based on the collections and a rich and varied range of exhibitions, programs and pedagogy, we enhance the museum experience and create an attractive meeting place for a wide audience. Skissernas Museum also manages Lund University's art collection, which houses a large variety of works from the university's founding to the present day. The Museum is part of Lund University's Culture and Museum Activities (LUKOM).

Skissernas Museum will be an internationally leading museum and a knowledge resource for art in public spaces and the artistic process. The Museum's mission is to collect sketches, and models for art in public spaces and to manage, make available and mediate the collections. Skissernas Museum will keep parts of the collections available through basic exhibitions and provide an infrastructure for research and education. The Museum works closely with other activities within LUKOM and with the university's faculties in teaching and research, and there is an ambition to expand the collaboration. Through temporary exhibitions and public programs, the Museum will convey knowledge within the museum's area, influence the discussion about art in public spaces and shed light on the artistic process. The Museum must work actively to lower the thresholds for a museum visit and be accessible to all. We conduct art education activities for children and adults and work for information and act as an expert body within the museum's area.

As Museum Director, you are responsible for employees, ensure a good working environment as well as skills supply and staffing.
