Student workers to the International Marketing and Recruitment Team

The International Marketing and Recruitment Team within the Division of External Relations are currently looking for full-time students at Lund University who want a creative and exciting part-time job during the autumn 2022 semester. As a student worker you will have the opportunity to work with qualified tasks and develop your professional network. You also gain experience of working in a public and international organisation.

Main tasks

As a student worker you usually have one main task to work with during the semester. Additional side tasks can be included and your tasks may vary during the semester, depending on the needs identified within the Division of External Relations. The three main tasks we are looking for student workers to work with are:

Social media

  • Working with Lund University’s international social media channels, such as Instagram and Facebook, assisting in the coordination of the Instagram Ambassador Programme, and content creation

Customer service

  • Answering incoming questions from prospective students and applicants via different online platforms, but primarily through email.

Unibuddy platform

  • Assisting in the coordination of the Student Ambassador Programme and platform Unibuddy.

Additional tasks

The following are tasks that are often completed at various times during the semester by some or all student workers on an as-needed basis, regardless of their assigned main task.

  • Serving as an administrative support at events arranged by the division.
  • Conducting tours of the Lund campus
  • Being Lund University’s representative at various marketing and recruitment activities, online or physically.
  • Being part of various podcast/movie/material productions, including but not limited to: hosting and organizing podcasts, assisting with filming promotional videos, captioning videos, and collecting student testimonials for the university website.

Required qualifications

  • In order for us to be able to consider your application you must meet all of the below mentioned required qualifications:
  • You are a full-time student at Lund University.
  • You must have successfully passed at least 60 higher education credits at Lund University or previously in another University
  • You must have excellent English language skills, both speaking and writing.
  • You must have good knowledge of Lund University and its student life.
  • You must be physically present in Sweden/Skåne the majority of the semester.

Desirable qualifications and experience

In addition to the overall required qualifications there are also certain qualifications that are desirable for each main task mentioned above. As each student worker will not work with every task, we request that you highlight in your application which task or tasks you are most interested in and qualified for given the specific desirable qualifications below.

Social media:

  • Previous experience in working with social media and content creation in a professional context.

Customer service:

  • Previous experience within customer service such as answering customer emails, queries, or calls.

Unibuddy platform:

  • Previous experience as a Lund University Student Ambassador working with the Unibuddy platform.
  • Content creation and knowledge of design software (including but not limited to: Adobe Creative Suite and Canva).

For all tasks it is beneficial if you have previous experience working in international higher education administration. Furthermore it is beneficial if you have experience in planning and giving support during online or/and on-site events.

Personal attributes

As a person you are responsible, thorough and solution oriented. You have a creative spirit and have a high sense of service and cooperation skills. Furthermore, you are comfortable representing Lund University and have excellent social skills.

Other

The employment extends to the end of the autumn semester with a possibility of continuation during the spring semester 2023.
