Description of the workplace
At the research group Cardiovascular research - Translational studies. research is conducted in cardiovascular disease with a focus on biological differences that underlie acute complications such as heart attacks and strokes. The research is translational and includes studies of human tissue and several in-vitro models. The group has for many years been at the forefront of the field and has established collaborations with international research groups.
The group, led by professor Isabel Goncalves and associate professor Andreas Edsfeldt, consists of postdoctoral fellow, doctoral students, bioinformatics and laboratory engineers with both clinical and preclinical backgrounds. The group is located at CRC in Malmö.

Work duties
The tasks include performing experimental methods, applicable to human tissue, in vitro studies and potential animal models (cell culture, RNA/DNA extraction, PCR, ELISA, microscopy, western blots, FACS, basic statistic. The application is also expected to independently introduce and optimize new methods.
Qualification requirements
Appointment to a post-doctoral position requires that the applicant has a PhD, or an international
degree deemed equivalent to a PhD, within the subject of the position, completed no more than three years before the last date for applications. Under special circumstances, the doctoral degree can have been completed earlier.

Term of employment
We are looking for two postdocs. The employments are full-time and limited to two years with the possibility of extension if there are special reasons according to the "Agreement on limited-time employment as a postdoctoral fellow" between the labor market parties (Arbetsgivarverket, Saco-S and SEKO). Start date as soon as possible or by agreement.
