Job assignments: Research in Just Energy Transitions

The Department is looking for a project assistant who specializing in social science research in the field of human ecology but are open to consider other social science studies. Interest in justice and fairness theories is a benefit.

This position is connected to the Energimydigheten funded research project: Navigating Justice Claims in the energy transition. The project uses a mix of moral philosophy and social science qualitative research methods with a focus on Sweden, Germany and South Africa.

The project assistent to be hired is expected to contribute to the project through supporting research on the project as a whole. This will involve literature reviews, carrying out interviews and policy analysis and contributing to publications. The project assistant will be guided by the project team and work closely with Dr Vasna Ramasar. 

Qualifications and assessment
To be appointed as a project assistant requires a bachelors degree in human ecology, or a field of relevance to the study, e.g. sustainability science, other relevant social science or humanities disciplines or interdisciplinary research. Experience using quantitative and qualitative research methods is useful.

The basis for assessment is the ability to develop and conduct high quality research. The applicants must be able to demonstrate:
•    Documented research experience through the quality of their thesis and/or other publications.
•    Methodological qualifications and experience with qualitative research methods including interviews 
•    Fluent English (written and spoken) is a requirement.
