Description of the workplace
The International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE) at Lund University was founded in 1994 and has since developed genuine interdisciplinary education and research with focus on strategies for sustainable development. The Institute facilitates a great number of external research and development projects as well as two international master programs. Work Duties

The Research Assistant will support in teaching of (under) graduate courses at the IIIEE. Support is mainly needed in courses concerning sustainable business and management, environmental management systems, governance, organisations, circular business models. The work duties also include having direct contact with companies and assisting the IIIEE's teachers in organizing and developing courses and course materials.

The candidate will also actively participate in the work with the IIIEE's MOOCs (Massive Open Online Course). This work includes for example providing support for learners in the course activities, Q&As, submissions and with problem solving. This also includes assisting in the development and production of new MOOCs, including design and production of video lectures, interviews, course readings, assignment and quizzes with the aim of producing high-quality MOOCs.

A third task is to participate in external communication (web, social media, etc.) and to organize various events.

The teaching is mainly in English.

Qualifications

  • MSc in relevant field, preferable with sustainability and environment
  • Strong proficiency in both spoken and written English
  • Proven ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication
  • Demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with colleagues and in teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment

Additional qualifications

  • Demonstrated pedagogical experience and/or experience of working with pedagogical teams.
  • Demonstrated experiences with open learning platforms and open educational resources.
  • Demonstrated interest or skills with producing visual or video-related materials
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an international teaching and research environment.
  • Experience of working as an administrator in Canvas

Consideration will also be given to good collaborative skills, drive and independence, and suitability in general that is needed to perform the duties well. Consideration will also be given to how the applicant’s experience and skills complement and strengthen ongoing education and communication within the department, and how they stand to contribute to its future development.
