Description of the workplace
The International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE) at Lund University was founded in 1994 and has since developed genuine interdisciplinary education and research with focus on strategies for sustainable development. The Institute facilitates a great number of external research and development projects as well as two international master programs. Subject description
IIIEE is looking for a Research Assistant to support the analysis on the speed of energy transitions in Europe within the MISTRA Electrification Project.

Work duties

  • Together with Principal Investigator (PI) Prof. Aleh Cherp analyse the data on the speed of energy transition towards low-carbon energy sources in the European Union
  • Analyse the effects on this speed of the energy security concerns caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraiine

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Energy or Environmental Sciences and Policy
  • Familiarity with the energy sector through previous work or research
  • Proficiency in academic/professional English, working knowledge of German, Russian and other European languages an advantage
