Description of the workplace
SciLifeLab, Science for Life Laboratory, is a national research infrastructure for molecular life sciences and is one of the government's major investments in research infrastructures in Sweden. SciLifeLab's overall vision is to enable ground-breaking, multidisciplinary research that would otherwise not be possible in Sweden, and to promote that the research leads to societal utility. SciLifeLab consists of ten technology platforms with activities at eleven different universities across the country. Five of the platforms currently include activities at Lund University (LU), focusing on different areas, including genomics, structural biology, drug development and bioinformatics.

To increase SciLifeLab visibility and to emphasize its role as a national resource, the SciLifeLab board decided in 2021 to establish national sites at four universities outside the host universities in the capital region, one of these are located in Lund. The purpose of the SciLifeLab site is to constitute a coordinating umbrella unit, through which SciLifeLab associated and other nationally relevant research infrastructures in Lund can collaborate with leading research infrastructures across the country, as well as to increase knowledge about these for local and national researchers.

We are now looking for a driven, communicative and team-oriented coordinator who wants to play a key role in building LU's SciLifeLab site, thereby further strengthening research infrastructures at LU as well as nationally. As a workplace, we protect a good working environment with respect and consideration in our relationships with each other.
