We announce a Researcher position for one year within origin of life research at the Department of Astronomy and Theoretical Physics.
The successful candidate will work in the planet formation team. This team is led by Anders Johansen, who has a large expertise and experience within the research area. The group has funding to employ a researcher on a one-year contract.
Work duties
The researcher will work on chemical motion of droplets on a water surface as an analogy for the origin of self-propelling motion in primitive cells. These experiments will be interpreted in the context of the chemical conditions on early Earth.
Qualifications
The applicant must hold a PhD in physical chemistry and have a research profile within experiments on complex behavior of self-propelled objects in the context of the origin of life.
Terms of employment
Fixed-term employment full-time for one year.
