The Department of Business Law at Lund University seeks one senior lecturer for a fixed-term employment, temporary position (12 months) in Business Law with a focus on Indirect Tax Law. The level of service is 50 percent (of a full-time position).

Work duties

The tasks mainly include teaching and include lectures, seminars, supervision and examination. The assignment also includes administration linked to the specified tasks. The position is based on lectureships according to the current working time agreement.

The senior lecturer will contribute to the running of the one-year master’s programme (Master of European and International Trade and Tax Law) in European and International trade law and to contribute to the department’s courses in EU Law and International Business Law. The fields concerned are in particular EU internal market law and environmental law with focus on sustainability as well as the relationship between EU law and WTO law.

Higher pedagogical education may be offered after consultation with the director of studies and the head of the department. 

Eligibility

Doctoral degree in the field together with other scientific merits as well as documented teaching experience. Completed higher pedagogical education comprising at least five weeks or equivalent knowledge. 

Other requirements

Ability to teach in Swedish and English.

Very good knowledge of English in speaking and writing. 

Assessment criteria

The School of Economics and Management aims at a balance between research and teaching. Equal importance will therefore be given to scholarly and pedagogical skills when assessing the applicants. Administrative competence is also taken into account.

In the overall assessment of scholarly skills special weight will be given to publications in the fields concerned, i.e. EU internal market law and environmental law with focus on sustainability as well as the relationship between EU law and WTO law.

Special weight will also be given to experience from international collaboration and participation in research networks. Moreover, the ability to collaborate with the surrounding society and to inform about research will be assessed. Practical work experience in the relevant fields is also of relevance.

Pedagogical qualifications include training in teaching and learning in higher education, pedagogical experience and pedagogical skills.

Consideration will be given to how the applicant's skills and experience can strengthen and supplement the existing research and teaching activities within the Department of Business Law.
