The International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE) is an international and interdisciplinary centre of excellence at Lund University. The IIIEE advances knowledge on how to catalyse the transition to low-carbon and resource efficient economies across different levels of governance and management. The IIIEE conducts research across the themes of international and national policy intervention, urban governance and experimentation, business management and practice, and consumption governance.

The IIIEE offers both education to master’s students, exchange students and also provides shorter courses online that are open to all (MOOCs). The IIIEE also works to openly disseminate new knowledge by e.g. publishing Podcasts.

Work Duties

Work duties mainly consist of assisting in research, teaching at (under)graduate level, and online courses. To some extent tasks also involve communication and dissemination of research outputs. Research tasks include data collection and analysis on the topic of circular economy and market transitions. For teaching support is needed in course elements on the topics of circular economy, both in regards to policy (environmental policy, green public procurement, policy evaluation) and business and organisations (environmental management, green governance). Furthermore, support is needed to convert both research material and teaching material and pedagogics into online courses (the so-called MOOCs). This work also includes assisting in the development and design of educational videos, recorded interviews, text-based course material and exercises. For the communication of output tasks also involve Podcast-production.

Qualifications

  • Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant, preferably multi-disciplinary, field (e.g. climate and sustainable studies).
  • Demonstrated experience of website and/or learning platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience of teaching and interacting with international students.
  • Demonstrated ability to curating course readings and other written materials.
  • Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with colleagues and in teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an interdisciplinary and international environment.
  • Strong proficiency in both spoken and written English.

Additional qualifications

  • Demonstrated pedagogical experience and/or experience of working with pedagogical teams.
  • Demonstrated experiences with open learning platforms and open educational resources.
  • Demonstrated interest or skills with producing visual or video-related materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an international teaching and research environment.
  • Demonstrated software skills and technical competence related to video and podcast production.
  • Documented experience or knowledge of green public procurement.

Consideration will also be given to good collaborative skills, drive and independence, and suitability in general that is needed to perform the duties well. Consideration will also be given to how the applicant’s experience and skills complement and strengthen ongoing education and communication within the department, and how they stand to contribute to its future development. Reasonable comprehension of the Swedish language is a plus.

Terms

Temporary employment for a maximum of 12 months with a starting date upon agreement.
