Description of the workplace
The Celiac Disease and Diabetes Unit at the Department of Clinical Sciences within the Faculty of Medicine conducts research in autoimmune diseases. For several years, it’s research has been at the forefront of the field of pediatric autoimmunity, with a focus on predisposing genetic and environmental factors. The research group is led by Daniel Agardh and consists of both research and technical staff. More about the research group and its research can be found here. The position is located in Malmö.

Duties and areas of responsibility
In the role of project assistant, you are responsible for both laboratory and administrative tasks. The duties mainly include registration of study participants, sample collection and sample analysis. The project assistant will also be part of a team that helps with study recruitment and antibody analysis. Other undertakings within the research group may also take place.  

Qualifications

The following are required for the position:

Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in biomedicine/molecular biology, or in other ways fulfilled criteria for doctoral education in one of these fields Experience in laboratory work A good ability to work independently Good organizational and collaboration skills Good ability to be thorough, as well as results-oriented and actionable

Meritorious for the position are: 

  • Experience in laboratory work focused on diabetes and celiac disease
  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting results from autoantibody assays using the RBA method

Other
This is a full-time permanent position. The intended start date of this employment is 2023-03-01 or according to agreement. A probationary period may be applied.
