Description of the workplace
The research group Molecular Tumor Pathology at the Department of Laboratory Medicine within the Faculty of Medicine currently conducts research to understand landscape of post-translational modifications (PTM) in different types of human diseases including chronic inflammation and cancer.
The research team is led by Professor Ramin Massoumi and is located at the Division of Translational Cancer Research at Medicon Village in Lund. The group is international and comprises research and technical staff. We are now looking for a highly motivated candidate with a strong background in cell and molecular biology as well as cancer biology to support the ongoing project. Work duties and areas of responsibility
The research assignment consists in you independently conducting research under the leadership of the project manager. The successful candidate will focus research efforts on elucidation of molecular mechanisms regulating the development and progression of cancer using a variety of approaches including molecular, cellular, and in vivo methods.
Qualification requirements
To qualify for the position, the applicant must have a PhD or an international degree deemed equivalent to a PhD, within a subject relevant for the position (i.e. biomedicine, medicine or equivalent), completed no more than three years before the date of employment decision. Under special circumstances, the doctoral degree can have been completed earlier.

Further information
