Environmental and Energy System Studies is an interdisciplinary division at the Department of Technology and Society. We have around 30 employees and are located in newly refurbished premises on LTH campus. Our subjects include studying and highlighting energy and environmental issues in a regional, national and global long-term perspective. We are looking for a researcher for a temporary position in a project focused on green biorefineries.

You will work in a project focused on green biorefineries using grasses and legumes for the production of biofuels, protein feed and potentially other biomaterials. In the project systems analyses are made covering the entire supply chains of biorefineries, taking into account economics, logistics, biorefinery process design, agronomy, greenhouse gas balances and other environmental aspects. You will work both independently and in collaboration with other researchers in the project. Much of your time will be devoted to the collection and processing of data and the development of mathematical models for the analyses to be carried out. You will also participate in the production of articles for publication in scientific journals and present results in connection with project meetings and possibly also conferences.
The assignment includes administration related to the tasks and support to the project management, if needed. This may include organization of project meetings and coordination of specific research activities within participating organizations.

The position is a fixed-term full-time employment during 2023 with start according to agreement.
