Tasks

The overall tasks will be to work together with the current laser specialist to ensure reliable operation of gun laser and handle the laser safety related tasks at the laboratory. The tasks include:

-Preventive as well as routine maintenance of the gun laser
-To evaluate and implement upgrades to the laser
-To assist in other laser related activities at the laboratory
-Setting up safety routines for laser work
-Control of new and modified laser setups
-Instructing and approving high power laser operators

Qualifications

The position requires prior laser work experience and an MSc degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent. PhD is an asset. It´s an advantage if you have practical femtosecond laser work experience as well as laser safety experience and laser theory knowledge.

To be successful and perform well in this position you have a thorough and systematic way of working and are quality oriented. You should be risk aware but also solution focused. You have the capability to work independently but you also like to work and contribute in a team. Since this position will involve many contacts with different stakeholders in the organization it requires that the candidate has demonstrated very good cooperation skills. A very good command of English both oral and written is required. Swedish is an advantage.

The position is a 2 year temporary position with the possibility to become permanent after 2 years.
