The position is at the Division of Solid State Physics at the Department of Physics, a division with around 100 employees where extensive research is carried out centered on various aspects of nanophysics, ranging from materials science to bio- and quantum physics to various applications. The division is a central part of NanoLund, Lund University's large interdisciplinary research Centre on nanoscience and nanotechnology. The division includes Lund Nano Lab, a central and shared facility for the production of materials and components at the nanoscale. The Division has a strong commitment to undergraduate education, not least in the Master's programme "Engineering Nanoscience" at LTH.

We open a 80% researcher position to support our activities within the newly awarded ERC Proof of concept Grant PRABio, aiming at bringing our ideas in terms of biosensing and cancer detection closer to the market. The researcher work duties will deal with optimizing biosensors for biomarker detection, creating a prototype and benchmarking it against established methods. This includes sample preparation, biosensor development and optimization, bioimaging, and image analysis. In addition you are expected to help the team with market analysis and IP strategy.

The position is a substitute/fixed term position for one year at 80% per cent of full time and starting in September 2023 or by agreement, although not beyond November 2023.
