Project assistant in Biology - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

Work duties

Processing of genetic samples in laboratory from blood samples and historical toe-pads. Analysis of genomic data to estimate divergence times, gene flow and inbreeding depression in endangered birds.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s Degree in Evolutionary Biology.
• Experience: laboratory research assistant and computational research assistant.
• Knowledge: English; DNA extraction and amplification; bioinformatic programs (e.g., SNPhylo, SNPRelate, Plink, PCA, admixture)  
• Competences: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a research team. Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

Terms of employment
