Description of the workplace
The research groups Genetic Occupational and Environmental Medicine and Environmental Epidemiology are located at the Department of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and focus on the importance of genetics and environment, and their interactions, for health. The research groups are led by Professors Karin Broberg and Lars Rylander, respectively. We are about 20 members in the two research groups from different parts of the world. Work duties and areas of responsibility
The employment involves project coordination, working in register and molecular epidemiological projects, for instance about the connection between environmental exposures (such as chemical exposures, air pollution, and noise) and health, and associated mechanisms based on biomarkers. The position involves studying the current research areas, statistical processing of existing data, writing scientific and popular science articles, and project management.

Research expertise is the foremost criterion for employment. The evaluation of applicants will take account of their research profile, experience, and knowledge.

The employment is a permanent full time employment with the desired starting date October 1st 2023 or according to agreement. Probationary employment of 6 months may be applied.
