Project assistant LUCSUS

LUCSUS is seeking a project assistant to support work on “ICARUS” /VR BELMONT and ITHACA FORMAS projects, which will contribute to systematic review, support to development of Qualtrics survey on migration and climate change, and to basic literature database and upkeep of existing update literature database and supporting organization of workshops and setting up meetings and research interviews.

This will be a part-time position (3 days per week), starting as soon as possible and running for 1 year with possibility for extension. The position is based at the Lund University Centre for Sustainability Studies, LUCSUS.

 

Required Qualifications
Excellent English writing skills, including in academic and professional contexts (e.g., summarizing research, contribute to writing academic papers and supporting systematic reviews)

  • Experience of working with systematic reviews and databases
  • Strong quantitative skills (e.g., comfortable using spreadsheet such as Excel to organize, visualize and analyze database)
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills, such as keeping track of and regularly updating spreadsheets, databases, calendars, deadlines etc.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to be self-motivated, collaborative, and deliver high- quality work within deadlines
  • Ability to gather, assess, synthesize, and compare relevant information from different sources (peer-reviewed literature, grey literature such as agency and policy reports, etc.)

Desired Qualifications 

  • Experience of working in a research team
  • Knowledge of climate resilience, loss and damage and the literature specifically on non-economic loss and damage
  • Availability to be based in Lund, Sweden
