Maintenance Engineer - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

MAX IV is improving the routines for maintaining and servicing the many thousand pieces of equipment across the laboratory. A newly started maintenance project is meant to standardize maintenance routines and ensure a stable operation of the MAX IV facility into the foreseeable future.

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer that will fill a central role in this work and beyond. Are you interested in developing the maintenance activities at a world-leading research facility? Then this is the right job for you!

Responsibilities

• Drive the development of a maintenance organization at MAX IV
• Capture maintenance needs and developing maintenance strategies and processes (run to failure, corrective, preventive etc.) for different parts of the organization
• Support the implementation of the maintenance management system (J5) including staff training
• Support estimations of costs of maintenance and spare part stocks
• Assist in driving and coordinating maintenance activities during and after the maintenance project e.g. the scheduling of maintenance tasks, shutdowns etc.
• Regularly analyse performance, failure rates etc. across the facility
• Work in close collaboration with staff across the organization, in particular staff in technical teams, accelerators and at beamlines

Qualifications

• Several years of experience working with maintenance engineering or similar at larger science or industrial facilities or equivalent
• Professional working proficiency in English

Below are seen as merits

• An education or certification in Maintenance Engineering or equivalent
• Experience from working as a project manager or similar within maintenance, facility management, construction, infrastructure, or organizational change management
• General knowledge of infrastructure systems such as water cooling, liquid nitrogen, electricity, vacuum, and machine protection
• Good overall technical understanding with an interest in research, technology, infrastructure, and technical development
• A Project Management certification
• Professional working proficiency in Swedish

You will report to the manager of the Central Project Office at MAX IV.
