Description of the workplace
At the researcher group for Hand surgery research, projects are conducted within experimental and clinical hand surgery research, including health science issues. For many years, the research has been very prominent internationally with regard to targeting different types of nerve damage and neuropathy. The group is led by Professor Lars B. Dahlin and consists of research and technical staff with employment both within Lund University and Region Skåne. The operation is essentially located at Skåne's University Hospital (SUS) in Malmö (specially designed building dedicated to hand surgery and the Wallenberg lab on the hospital grounds in Malmö) and with extensive collaboration within and outside the faculty and the region. However, this position is primarily located in Linköping, but with duties partly in Malmö. More information about the research can be found here.

Work duties
In the role of laboratory assistant, you will work with morphological and morphometric analyzes of nerve biopsies using light and, above all, electron microscopy, as well as the production of scientific works in the field of the peripheral nervous system. Other tasks within the research group may also be relevant.

Terms of employment
The employment is a special fixed-term employment (SÄVA) for 6 months with a scope of 100% of full time. The position is primarily located in Linköping and partly in Malmö. Start date is 2023-12-15 or as according to agreement.
