The Department of Electrical and Information Technology (EIT) comprises a wide range of research areas, all the way from semiconductor devices, via integrated circuit design, to design of large systems. Research related to wireless systems is one of the core activities, where the department has had a significant impact on the development of key technology for new standards, such as 5G.
The part-time vacancy as Senior Advisor is in the Division of Communications Engineering (CE), focusing on wireless systems and all aspects of their design and implementation – from antenna design to design of complete wireless systems. Division of CE consists of 30 employees, of which 8 are senior researchers. A successful area of research deals with Massive MIMO systems, leading to multiple EU-projects, such as REINDEER and MAMMOET, and significant impact on the 5G standard.
As a part-time (10%) Senior Advisor you will contribute with your experience from wireless systems design and act as a connection to European and international research organizations, with a specific focus on EU projects. You will also take part in both education and research activities, by giving lectures, mentor PhD students in their research studies, and participate as an advisor in research projects related to your area of expertise.

This employment is for an indefinite term with a scope of 10 per cent of full time starting as soon as possible or by agreement. The emploment as a senior advisor is covered by the flexitime agreement.
