Duties
The position consists of 65 percent teaching. The teaching is primarily in courses on social science methods, civil society and elite research. It also includes thesis supervision and examination, as well as course administration, pedagogical development work, and collaboration both within and between courses.

Eligibility
The eligibility requirements for employment as a senior lecturer are stated in Chapter 4, Section 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance and in Lund University's Appointment Regulations.

To be eligible for employment as a senior lecturer, the applicant must hold a PhD in political science or another discipline, preferably in the social sciences, with a clear relevance to the call. The eligible applicant should also have demonstrated teaching expertise and personal qualities required to perform the duties of the position. 

Assessment criteria
In assessment of the applicants, equal weight will be given to research and teaching expertise. Emphasis will also be placed on administrative and other skills that are of importance to the subject matter and duties of the position. 

The assessment criteria for the appointment are the degree of expertise required for the position. 

Requirements for the position are
 - A PhD in political science
- Documented experience of teaching social science methods, civil society, elites and development research
- Very good knowledge of English.
Additional qualifications for the position are:
- Previous experience of research on civil society elites, especially with regard to leadership and representation
- International publication in the above areas.

Further information 
The employment is a temporary position of 65 percent during the period 1 of January until 30 of June, 2024.
