Description of the workplace
The brain disease biomarker research group focuses on understanding pathology underlying the neurodegenerative disorder huntington´s disease. Principle investigator is Professor Maria Björkqvist and the group consists of research and technical staff. The research unit is located at the department of experimental medical sciences at the medical faculty, Lund university. Here yoy can read more about our research.
We are now looking for an associate researcher with technical knowledge for planning and execution of pilot studies. As a workplace, we safeguard a good work environment with respect and consideration in our relationships with each other.

As associate researcher in the research group you will be responsible for planing, coordinating and conducting in vitro studies and in vivo studies. Your primary duties encompass: flow cytometri and confocal microscopy, image processing and statistics.
Qualifications
Requirements for employment are:
-PhD in Neuroscience
-Documented experience of in vitro and in vivo work
-Documented experience of microscopi and image analyses
-Documented experience of optogenetics
-Documented experience of flow cytometry
-Documented experience in seahourse
-Documented experience in Patch Clamp
Additional qualifications for the position are:
-Fluent in speaking and writing german
-Knoweledge within the subject central immune modulation
-Excellent presentation skills
-Excellent in speaking and writing in english and swedish
-Project management and independence
Further information
The position is a fixed term position for 5 months at 100 per cent of full time and starting in 15th of January 2024 or by agreement, although not beyond 14th of June 2024.
