Automatic Control is one of the departments at the Faculty of Engineering (LTH) at Lund University. Our research focuses on sustainable and safe operation of technical systems for the benefit of people and the planet. The department conducts both basic research and applied research in the fields of robotics, energy supply, transport, health care, communication, and economics. The department gives both basic and advanced courses for students within several different engineering programs in the areas of control and learning. There is also extensive postgraduate education with 25–30 active PhD students at the department.

We are now looking for teaching assistants in FRTF05 Automatic control, basic course (study period 3) and FRTF10/FRTN25 Systems Engineering/Process Control (study period 4). As a teaching assistant, you will work together with other teachers in a group of other assistants within the undergraduate education at the department.
Only those admitted to first or second-cycle courses and study programmes at the faculty may be employed as teaching assistants.

We will put particular emphasis on previous study results and personal suitability. Consideration will be given to how the applicant, through experience and competence, is judged to complement and strengthen teaching within the department.
The employment as a Teaching Assistant is regulated in the Higher Education Ordinance (SFS 2017:284), 5 chapter 8-12 §§
The employment is time-limited during the period 240116–240331, 240116–240615 or 240315–240615 and covers 15-20% of full time.
Employment as a teaching assistant may not correspond to more than 50% of a full-time post. Teaching assistants shall be employed for an indefinite period, however, for no longer than one year. These appointments may be extended. The total employment period as a teaching assistant may not, however, exceed three years. The employment is covered by the working time agreement for teachers.
Note that the tasks are not necessarily evenly distributed during the employment period and that the work may involve evening work on occasional occa-sions.
We intend to employ 4-5 teaching assistants.
