Description of the workplace
The department of Occupational and Environmental Dermatology welcomes 900 patients every year where some environmental cause of skin problems is suspected. The patients come for diagnosis and the investigation is often to a high extent personalized. The department therefore has a large laboratory for chemical analysis. The research is focused on diagnosis and prevention. You can find more information about the research here.

Work duties
In the role as research engineer you will work with clinicians, chemist, laboratory personnel and other health care staff. You will work in the laboratory, in clinical trials and with preparing data for the research team. You will take active part in the research group from the planning of a clinical study, the ethic application, logistics and analysis of data to preparing the results for publication

The work is carried out on site in Malmö.

Qualifications

Requirements for the position are:

  • PhD in Medicine with focus on occupational and environmental dermatology
  • Experience from work as a dermatologist or nurse
  • Experience of GC-MS and HPLC Skills for statistical analysis of larger data material

Meritorious for the position are:

  • Good knowledge of English and Swedish
  • Having worked within the fielt of contact allergy, particularly natural products such as terpenes.

Terms of employment
The employment is a special fixed-term employment (SÄVA) of 6 months, full time. Desired start date is January 1, 2024, or as agreed.
